This book is so epic for designers. I love designing my own patterns: in fact I would rather spend hours hashing out the problems making my own patterns than following someone else's already perfected one! Maybe it's the homeschooler inside of me.

Stitchionary Volume 1 focuses on knitting and purling, and combining the two in as many different ways as possible. Ribs are just the beginning: there are texture patterns, lace, and some very interesting unique combinations like smocking, entrelac, zig-zag, knots and dots, cables, folds and puckers, bobbles, and anything else you can think of.

This is a definite must-have for any pattern designer, or a knitter looking to enhance their knitting stitch repertoire.
