I'm a big fan of all natural rather than Big Pharma. Here are some all natural ways to release muscle pain! Please note there are lots of different kinds of pain, and all these tips are specifically for sore and cramping muscles.
#1 - Sweat It Out
Get blood to the muscles and breathe! Yes it'll suck for the first 15-20 minutes but once you get warm it'll feel great. Once you get oxygen to your muscles they'll heal faster.
#2 - Stay Hydrated
Your muscles need water to recover! Drink Gatorade and water, and avoid diuretics like coffee and tea. Keep your muscles healthy!

#4 - Take a Hot Bath with EO
-Get in the tub while it's still filling up and turn it up as high as you can stand. I recommend covering the drain so you can fill the tub higher.
-Put peppermint oil in the bath so your skin stays feeling cool. This will allow you to stay in the bath longer, because you won't feel overheated.
-Make sure you don't stay in too long, because you can get heat sick. You can also put Rosemary oil in the bath, and that also helps with muscle cramps!
-When you're done, drink a full glass (8-16 oz) of water and put on some warm PJ pants and sweat shirt, and go to bed. Keep your muscles warm by sleeping in the warm PJs.
#5 - Get a MassageGroupon and find a good deal, and get yourself a massage. Never underestimate the power of good ol' hands-on massage.
#6 - TENS unitTENS unit shoots little electrical shocks into the muscle to stimulate it, and then allow it to release naturally. I did a write-up on a very inexpensive one here!
#7 - Don't Underestimate the Power of Visualization
- Understand why they're cramped up, and what you did to make them sore.
- Understand and visualize which muscle is sore and what position it is currently in
-Visualize the muscle releasing back to the shape and position you want it to sit in.
Visualization takes a lot of practice, but once you learn to control your body with your mind, it can be very useful!
#8 - PainAway Essential Oil BlendPain Away Essential Oil Blend by Phytopia. It's a blend of oils and carriers specifically designed to help with pain relief.
#9 - Arnica Is Magic
Arnica Gel comes from the Arnica plant, and it reduces swelling, inflammation, muscle soreness, and bruising. I used it on a bruise once and my bruise was gone in less than a day. It absorbs quickly and leaves no grease or residue on the skin!
#10 - Make Your Own Muscle RubShea butter, coconut butter, and Radha Peppermint and Rosemary Oil by BB whipped into a body butter is easy to apply and feels better than Tiger Balm.
Hope this helps! What are your favorite ways to stop sore muscles?
