Easy@Home Pain Management - TENS Massage System

Yes I am 25 and have chronic pain. I have a knot in my shoulder the size of a golf ball. When my shoulder locks up, there are 3 ways to get that knot out: get my Lover to pile-drive his elbow into it, drench myself in Radha peppermint oil, or crank this TENS up to 8 or 9 and shock the sucker out.

What is a TENS?
TENS stands for Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation. Basically, it's a way of stopping the body's pain receptors by sending little electrical pulses into the muscles.

Afterward by Jennifer Mathieu

I got an audio-book from LibraryThing for review, and I kept putting it off because I knew it would be intense. It was, but it was totally worth it!

Excellent narration, beautiful story and complex character development, and a surprising twist near the end of the book.

This book deals with some heavy psychological stuff, and really got me thinking. I was very involved in the characters lives and development, and I was very satisfied with the way the story ended. As long as you can handle some slightly intense scenes, any fan of thrillers and psychological stories will enjoy this book!

About the Book
When Caroline's little brother is kidnapped, his subsequent rescue leads to the discovery of Ethan, a teenager who has been living with the kidnapper since he was a young child himself. In the aftermath, Caroline can't help but wonder what Ethan knows about everything that happened to her brother, who is not readjusting well to life at home. And although Ethan is desperate for a friend, he can't see Caroline without experiencing a resurgence of traumatic memories. But after the media circus surrounding the kidnappings departs from their small Texas town, both Caroline and Ethan find that they need a friend--and their best option just might be each other.

Never Never by James Patterson

I've read quite a few JP novels, but I think so far this one is my favorite.

This is not the best James Patterson book I've ever read. I figured out the bad guy about halfway through the book and was not surprised. HOWEVER, I enjoyed this book significantly more than many other JP books I've read, because of the characters. I absolutely love Detective Harriet Blue, I think she's amazing and hilarious and a sarcastic ass and I love it. I love the development, the confusion, the raw emotion. I love the game the bad guy is playing the whole way through.

The story took place in Australia, which was cool. The narrator did a great job, her accent was awesome and thick, but I could still understand what she was saying.

Definitely going to continue with this series, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a kick-ass heroine cop as the protagonist.

About the Book (from Goodreads)

When Sydney police department sex crimes detective Harriet Blue is called into her boss’s office, she never imagined it would be to tell her that her brother is the prime suspect in the brutal murders of three women.

Shocked and in denial, Harry is transferred to Perth to avoid the media exposure this case will attract. Harry is sent into the outback – the never never – to investigate the disappearance of mine worker Danny Carter. The mining town is a seedy place, full of money and immoral ways to spend it. As Harry delves deeper into the murky lives of these miners, she finds that Danny isn’t the first to go missing.

Stay Safe on the Road - Brethalyzer

I was lucky enough to get a breathalyzer to test for a Tomoson review campaign! cool beans, huh?

I had trouble with it at first (I filmed the whole experience, you can see it here... if you dare. Forgive me, I'd had a few.) Once I got the battery in the right direction, it was easy to use. I did the test three or four times and got slightly different results every time, but the numbers were all very close to each other.

I discovered that once it beeps at you, you have to keep blowing until you hear the "pop" sound. that's when it gives you the result.

It's definitely a great device to have on hand for if you're pretty sure you can drive, but not 100% sure... just so you can be safe!

7 Tips To Get The Most Out Of Your Workout

No matter how long you've been going to the gym (or even if you don't go to the gym at all) you can always get a little more out of your workout! Here are my tips on how to make those minutes count!

1. Keep your mind focused. Don't watch TV, day-dream, or get distracted. Focus exclusively on your muscles. Remember that post on visualization I did? Here's the perfect opportunity to give it a try!

The Best Bratwurst Ever - Easy and Delicious!

I've never been a huge fan of Brats, or sausage, or hot dogs. But every once in a while, I just have to have a good Bratwurst. Here's how I make mine!

This is one of my favorite meals to make in bulk, because it freezes well and re-heats well. I just take my little plastic containers and put rice, bratwurst, onions, peppers, and steamed broccoli. Throw it in the freezer. When you're ready to eat it, zap it in the microwave for 3-4 minutes and your meal tastes fresh!

What Do You Want? The Power of Visualization

There was a time when I would have rolled my eyes at what I'm about to write about. There will be many of you who will roll your eyes at it too.

But before you do roll your eyes and close you tab and move back into the interwebs, do me one little favor.

Close your eyes.

Okay now open them again and so you can read this.

Close your eyes and imagine you are sitting on a cloud. A soft, white, fluffy cloud. It's very large and squishy and comfortable. The sunshine is streaming down on your face and legs and warming you up. There's a gentle breeze keeping you just cool enough to enjoy it. Maybe it's completely silent. Maybe you hear the wind. Maybe you hear birds and smell flowers. Your hair is whisping around tickling your face and you feel your body melting into your cloud.

Feel better? Good.

Feature and Review: Lists to Love By for Busy Wives and Husbands

The generation and society we live in today is nothing but busy! I work 2 jobs and run a blog, I'm planning a wedding, and trying to write 3 novels. What's "free time?"

I got this great book set from a friend in the publicists office, and I'm loving these books. It breaks down simple and concrete ways to show love to your SO.

Each chapter stars with an introduction, a story, an concept, etc. Then it gives you (in list format) ways to make that happen, like examples. Each chapter ends with some questions to answer to help you reflect and become better at communicating your love, and challenge yourself to love your partner better.

I gave Busy Husbands to my Fiance (we're getting married in April!!) and he loves it. I keep mine on my bedside table.

I love this collection and definitely recommend it for any couple!

1. Carbohydrates are the only molecule your brain uses as food. Proteins can be broken down and your brain can run off a bi-product of them, but carbs fuel your brain.

No brain, no life.

Now that's some math I can handle.
